We explain every factor that impacts the value so you can make a confident choice.
Step 4
Complete Transaction
If you accept the offer, the process moves forward immediately:
- Selling: Payment is issued same-day.
- Loan: A loan agreement is prepared and your funds are released. The item is securely stored in our vault.
Step 5
For Loans: Redeem Your Item
Once the loan is repaid, your item is returned promptly. Loan extensions may be available based on terms.

What is the interest rate?
How long is the pawn term?
Do loans mature per day or per month?
Can I walk in?

How much will you give me for my item?
It depends. Each and every item is different and the amount we offer will vary based on several factors – such as current value, condition, paperwork, market, etc. Our professional staff is one of the best in the industry and will work with you to communicate the appraised value and how it was determined.
You say you will buy or loan on my item. What is the difference?
It’s up to you. You can choose to either sell your item(s) to Biltmore or take out a loan using your item(s) as collateral. When you sell an item, we pay on the spot and the item(s) becomes the property of Biltmore. If you choose to take a loan, Biltmore will keep your item(s) in a highly secured safe until you pay back the loan. Loan terms are 90 days (you can pay back anytime between 0-90 days) and we will ALWAYS walk you through the process step-by-step and explain all terms in detail.
Can I bring my appraisal paperwork?
Absolutely. Bring any paperwork you have associated with the item (appraisals receipts, certificates of authenticity, etc.). However, please be aware that most appraisals are done for insurance purposes and, typically, reflect full retail price. Our buyers appraise and make offers based on the current market and recently competed sales of identical or similar items.
What do you buy and loan on?
Please visit our what we buy page and, if you have any further questions, feel free to use our appraisal form and we will get in touch with you.
I have decided I want to do business with Biltmore. What do I do next?
Please fill out our appraisal form with the location you wish to visit and a description of your item (you can even upload a few pictures). The more detailed, the better. After that, we will contact you quickly to arrange an appointment that is most convenient for you.
I don’t want to fill out the appraisal form and just want to come in. Is that ok?
Absolutely. No Appointments are needed. You may also call our Scottsdale office at 480-991-5626
How long does the process take?
Typically, the first meeting takes approximately 20-30 minutes (unless you have a lot of items). We take pride in making sure you receive as much information as possible before we provide a buy/loan appraisal for you. We take a very personal and private approach to our practices and procedures to ensure you are comfortable and pleased doing business with us.
What happens if I don’t want to sell or take out a loan? Will I be charged a fee or is there an obligation?
Absolutely not. We are happy to look at anything you may want appraised for its loan/buy value, at no charge. If we cannot help you, we will be more than wiling to assist in pointing you in the right direction.
I have been to other pawn shops or have seen them on TV. How is Biltmore different?
Biltmore was created with a totally different vision in mind. We take a completely unique approach to collateral-based lending and purchasing. Our offices are private, professional, and similar to that of a bank office or financial advisor.
I don’t own a Rolls Royce, high-end jewelry, or major valuables. Can I still do business with Biltmore?
Yes! Please read our “what we buy” page to see the kind of items we are interested in purchasing or lending on to get an idea of our buying practices. If you are still not sure, Biltmore will be more than happy to still take a look at your item(s) free of charge and obligation. Simply go to our appraisal form and we will get back to you promptly.
This is my first time hearing about Biltmore. What affiliations do you have?
We are a very credible organization and have several decades of experience between all of our staff members.
